The "Feel Good" Movie of the Year!

Last weekend my wife "dragged" me to this movie...

Wow, am I ever glad she did. A documentary about an experimental Ballroom Dancing course for elementary school kids in New York City, this documentary really knocked me out. Having been a little poisoned on Ballroom dancing after seeing an episode of the creepy "Dancing with the Stars" (see current "Peeve") I had no desire to see "Dancing With the Kids"... But do yourself a favor... GO SEE IT THIS WEEKEND...

You will fall in love with the kids, teachers, and drive home with a smile on your face. Click here to see the TRAILER & CLIPS

Foods of the "Bible"

Logia was one of the first companies to explore the merits of “biblical nutrition” starting with the new millennium and its popular Bible Bar, introduced in 2000, has literally taken the country by storm. In fact, the Bible Bar still remains our number one seller at the House Of David. Logia’s scripture bars have also been very well received and are among the finest all natural and organic health bars on the market. We highly recommend all of their fine products.

To all my Christian friends who really want to be extra "Holy", its time to load up with some fine "biblically"based confections. "Bible Bars", "Temple Treasures", "King David's Treat", "Seeds of Samson", "Sacred Nectar" will certainly be a double blessing to both your stomach and soul... And ofcourse afterward no real Saint would deprive themselves a Pious Poop by using the Lord's own "Thoroughly Cleansed" Christian Body Cleanser and Detoxifier...

What could possibly be next?

Davey & Goliath

Produced by the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) Davey & Goliath was a Claymation series that ran in the 50’s and 60’s. It was one of my favorite shows… The shows all revolved around the Adventures of a Christian family called "The Hansen's" particularly Davey Hansen and his talking dog Goliath. All of the shows had moral messages and had the Church (Lutheran of course) always in the middle of the Hansen family’s life. The series has been restored on DVD… I highly recommend this series to all of my friends and “Veggie Tales” parents. Your kids will LOVE them and so will you.

Incidentally, as a kid I LOVED the theme song of D&G… All of my Reformed friends will quickly recognize it as Martin Luther’s “A Mighty Fortress Is Our God”. (Listen to it) It is one of the greatest hymns in the history of the Christian Church.

Saying Goodbye to Jack...

I watched Jack Nicklaus play his last competitive hole in a major this afternoon, and it actually brought tears to my eyes. This is the third time this has happened to me... The other two were the retiring of Willie Mays, and the firing of Tom Landry.

I guess Jack meant so much to me because of the memories I have watching him compete in the different stages of my life. He won the Masters in 1986 when he was my age (46) by shooting 30 on the back nine at Augusta, and won his first Green Jacket in 1963 when I was 4. He won his first US Open in 1962 when I was 3 years old and his last 2 weeks before I got married in 1980...

Thanks Jack!

Worlds Ugliest Dog...

After all of the cutsy puppy posts... her's a good one...

For the 3rd year in a row, "Sam"The Chinese Crested has won the "Worlds Ugliest Dog" Title at the Sonoma Fair in Petaluma, CA. Sam the "weird and bizarre" dog and his owner are from Santa Barbara...

Do we think it is a coincidence that Santa Barbara is also home to the most "weird and bizarre" man?

Hmmmmmmm.....

Oh to be at the Rio this week...

Overall I HATE LAS VEGAS... I can't stand Celine Dion ("Near.. Farr..." Pound the Chest), You can barely find a decent hotel room for less than $200 anymore, and the Casino's are a total RIP OFF - There is really not much redeeming there. EXCEPT POKER!!!

Poker is the only game where there are no house odds... It's you against 9 other human beings... What a thrill... It is the only game where on a given night you can play with and beat a pro. I will never hit a major league fastball, or throw a TD pass in an NFL game, but I have trapped a Full Time Professional Poker player and won a $300.00 pot checking with made straight after the flop.... This week is World Series of Poker in Vegas ... Oh How I wish I could play in the big event... Just Once!!!

A Gift to my "Outlook" User Friends....

This is without question the greatest tool for MS Outlook users. I first became aware of Lookout from my friend Rollin Brendenberg. Since that time I have used Lookout on almost a daily basis. Lookout indexes all of your PST files and folders and makes searching for an obscur e-mail a breeze. Check it out...

Will The Greatness of Gloop Be Duplicated This Summer? I Think Not!

Without question one of the greatest 3 seconds in silver screen history... I am waiting on pins and needles for the new Charlie & The Chocolate Factory (2005). Yet only time and history will tell of the legacy left by the original Willy Wonka (1971)... and of course the 3 seconds of microphone madness from Mr. Gloop!

QUISP IS BACK!

For children of the 60's Breakfast Cereal was not a breakfast food - It was a way of life. Quisp (From Outer Space) and his rival Quake (From the Center of the Earth) were really the first cartoon characters designed to be a breakfast cereals. Quisp & Quake were identical cereals just shaped different. Quisp was little flying saucers. They were the brainchild of Quaker Oats and designed for them by Jay Ward the creator of Rocky & Bulwinkel and we went CRAZY for them.

Well they are back... See Quisp.com for all the details. I doubt however that the new Quisp will have the same tagline from the 60's. "Quisp - The Vitamin Powered Sugary Cereal" AWESOME!
