Excellent Points... And I agree. However, the point of the author (me thinks) is that the Simpson family is NOT "depraved"in the absolute sense. Case in point the values ultimately expressed almost all of the time (especially in crisis mode) of Homer & Bart and the rest of the clan are (sorry to offend) "Traditional Family values. Feelings of remorse, repentence, Self-Sacrifice, and most of all Love... Seem to always win the hour...
